A new laptop can be purchased for as little as $200. If you have a serious problem with your laptop, get a new one. If you don't have a problem with your laptop, you saved $200 or more.
Electronic Retailers make a bulk of their profits from extended warranties and then provide extremely poor, rude, or no service. The internett is full of horror stories about these scams.
If you absolutely can't resist getting an extended warranty, do check out Toshiba and get the warranty from them on their product. Our interviews with local computer repair facilities indicates that Toshiba is the Most Responsive of all manufacturers. Additionally, Toshiba has repaired, at no cost, a laptop of ours long after the warranty was expired and after Circuit City would not honor their own City Advantage Plan warranty on the laptop. We have also had good experience with Dell Laptops for our business.

Best Buy's Toshiba Laptop and Canon Printer Offer for $299: But by running Windows Vista, this machine will need a memory upgrade to 2 G to work effectively. Vista is a memory hog! As long as you know this up front, you're good to go.
